That's my theory anyway.
Yeah, Athamai is, yeah, hurling town.
Yeah, yeah.
And the thing is, and it is a big question for hurling and it's not a question for the end of this podcast.
But after seeing the last few seasons for football and the changes there, something has to be done for hurling, I believe anyway, because you can't have... And it's difficult.
You don't have the same amount of players, the same amount of counties competitive.
But there's something about this system and format that has enabled teams in football...
who may not be of the level of Kerry to be able to beat them and to be able to compete, to be competitive, to not have blowouts and to stay in a championship longer so that the players are playing longer into the season.
There's a reason for them to stay on the panels and not head away for a summer or to stay involved.
You know, but there's something that when we see what's happening with football and what it's given to the teams now,
that now you see in Ireland that there was, what was that stat, like five games in comparison to like, I don't know, 35, 40 games left for football.
outside of the heavyweights to be able to push up and compete.
I think there's something stopping and I think it's probably like the format that we have that doesn't allow the teams that might be at the second level to come up and compete with them and get used to that and consistently push.
No, but I think maybe it's around, and I know we go back to kind of provincials and stuff like that, but how we deal with the provincials and then how we deal with the All-Ireland Championship Series.
Has he tuned out now?
Has he gone on to the music?
It's a free in for Sligo.
This could be an opportunity with, what, 69-15 on the clock.
And it's going to be a kick here, which would be a two-pointer.
It's a kick to win it, Jerry McGowan.
