But they've soared since then and Gareth Taylor's come in and has seemed to steady the ship a lot.
What sort of difference have you seen that he's brought in this year, maybe on the pitch, off the pitch, that has helped that team develop over the past year since you've retired?
Yeah, and I think another aspect of the game that's grown a lot is just the attendances and the overall support for the women's game.
Emma Carroll, who's off the ball, was at the last game of the season there last weekend between Liverpool and Arsenal.
She said even on the flight over, the amount of people flying in their Arsenal-Liverpool kits, the Irish fans coming over to support.
Obviously, it was Katie McCabe's last game as well.
But have you noticed that growth in sort of attendances and just overall, I suppose, eyes on the game in the last few years?
Yeah, and you mentioned that Irish support there.
They'll be out in their colours in about two weeks' time.
We're facing Netherlands at home in Parc-et-Cuivre and then we're heading over to France for our last two group games.
Carla Ward announced her squad this morning.
We've obviously had two really positive results in the last window against Poland.
What have you seen from the team this year in their bid for qualifying for the World Cup next summer?
Yeah and I suppose for yourself you were such a pivotal played such a pivotal part in getting us to Australia a few years ago what was that campaign like that lead up to actually qualifying in that game at Hampden Park what is it like to sort of just keep building how important is momentum when you're building towards a goal like that?
And what's it like, I suppose, maybe being at the game or sitting at home watching the girls instead of being on the pitch yourself?
Have you got used to that yet?
Or is it still taking time to get used to?
Deadly.
And I suppose finally, Katie McCabe, as we mentioned before, it was her swan song at Arsenal last weekend at the final game.
Just tell me a bit about her and the sort of legacy that she would have left at Arsenal, how important she is as a character, not only on the pitch, but I suppose in the dressing room as well, you know, getting the captaincy of Ireland at such a young age as well.
