And that led to a really disruptive operation.
Yeah, I think it was.
I think for just that reason, the lack of reserves, the lack of spare airplanes.
So when things went wrong, they really went wrong.
If you got canceled by Spirit, it might be several days before you were going to get to your destination.
And that was true at all airlines.
I talked to a guy, an American, who had a six-day honeymoon in Hawaii.
And the first airplane they got on in Dallas for the flight to Honolulu,
had a mechanical problem.
They put them on another airplane that had a mechanical problem.
They end up canceling.
And pretty soon they've lost one of their six days of honeymoon.
And, you know, that has an impact on people.
I think any time air transportation is not really reliable, and that certainly was the case at some airlines this summer, it has a huge impact on people in terms of stress, in terms of not getting to where they need to be.
In terms of throwing them for a loop, in terms of scrambling to find a hotel room in a city where you never thought you would be.
Well, they've pared back their schedules quite a bit, realizing that the labor shortages weren't going to instantly go away.
And that's okay in the fall, in particular, because travel has really slowed down with the Delta variant.
So they basically have a period when they can regroup and get things in much better shape.
I think it's prompting a reexamination of what they can do this holiday season to
when people presumably will want to travel again.
