especially because with one thing that Leclerc said to me, and I'm going to go back to, I think we talked about this a little bit on the Monaco Post Race podcast, but one thing that really stood out to me there was Leclerc in the middle of that weekend had referred to the 26 tyres as being digital.
They just sort of have grip or they don't.
It's on or off.
And then in a completely separate answer on a different topic, not talking about Leclerc, Andrea Stella at McLaren talked about the way these tyres...
just don't seem to transfer grip from basically straight line to steering lock being applied into and then through the corner.
There's something about these smaller Pirelli tyres, maybe the way that they're being worked, the load that's being put through them is lower as well because there's less downforce, just means that there seems to be a little bit of trickiness in terms of getting that little bit of grip out the tyre.
And I wonder there if Leclerc needs...
with the way that he drives, with that little bit of overlap, the way that he works the car to rotate it, does he need a certain set of circumstances to basically feel what he needs to feel through the front axle at low speed, in cooler conditions, like whatever it ends up being?

that's a danger of oversimplifying this.
That's not necessarily like a properly fundamental clash with this rules in the way that we saw Hamilton or others struggle with the ground effect era, for example, but it's specific enough.
It's nuanced enough that it makes me think that if that's,
a trait or an issue that he's dealing with then depending on kind of how much progress he can make within his own style how much does that just repeat through the year when you have those specific circumstances

I mean, the fact that he's done another Ferrari contract that runs through to like 2045 or whatever he's committed to this time.
And the fact that he's so loved by Vasseur, but also kind of just Ferrari in general.

especially Vasseur because I have to give him a bit of credit for this specifically he's worked really hard to try and make sure that both drivers have what they want and like whether it's sometimes I don't know whether Leclerc's got more loyalty and faith in Fred or more loyalty and faith in Ferrari but there's definitely an element I am so convinced that
Leclerc either wouldn't be at Ferrari now if Vasseur wasn't the team boss or would be on his way out soon-ish if Fred wasn't the team boss I mean look at I don't really I still don't really know exactly what played out there but like that relationship clearly barely survived Mattia Bonotto being in charge because Bonotto seemed to gravitate more towards like a Carlos Sainz type and the way that he worked and sort of what he brought to the table and
