So a significant drop in their forecast originally calling for 13 total name storms.
So uh we're in good shape as far as that.
I expect the uh the NOAA update uh mid season update to lower their expectations as well.
Uh but you know as we always see uh
We always have to be prepared for a hurricane no matter what, because just can't let our guard down.
Some of the most powerful hurricanes in the basin occurred in El Nino seasons, uh Hurricane Michael, the last cat five system.
That hit the US, at least the mainland US was in El Nino season.
Hurricane Andrew hit on a quiet El Nino season, and many of the other very powerful hurricanes actually were in El Nino years.
So it just shows that we can't let our guard down.
Just it does help to uh lower your probability in every any given location of having a direct impact from a tropical system.
So in that respect, we're in good shape, but you always have to be prepared.

Well, you know, I mean uh for for winter you almost have to expect the unexpected.
Um in the last couple of uh seasons were kind of in El Nino patterns.
We had snowfall here in Savannah for the first time two years in a row in an over forty years, I believe, of time uh we had so s we had snow this past season, uh back in twenty twenty five.
We had some snow bomb before that.
It was uh twenty eighteen.
the last time there was any measurable snowfall in the southeastern US or at least in in coastal Georgia I should say.
