Caribbean waters weren't overturned uh from any s any other storms.
So really as warm as the waters could have become, uh, so we're definitely not out of the woods from seeing any kind of storms developing, just uh we will have fewer of those storms, but they could still become
uh rather strong even in the environment that we will have as long as they can overcome the environment with the
slightly cooler than normal water temperatures and the stronger upper level winds.
So everything is pointing to the fact that we will have a quieter season due to the El Nino pattern with with just overall more sinking air over the Atlantic basin, which that also along with the Saharan dust and cooler water temperatures all work against us having a significant activity across the basin.
So it's definitely good news for us.
for the Atlantic, bad news for the Pacific with those very, very, very, very you can't emphasize enough, very uh warm ocean water temperatures.
Right, right.
And and where I am in in uh s in Southeast Georgia, covering the low country South Carolina, uh in in this time of the year and even in the in the severe weather season, it's where uh cold fronts typically come to die, but in this type of setup, well we expect there to be some stronger fronts coming through because that could make that severe weather a little bit more likely this time around.
It's been pretty quiet.
Um, you know, I can't uh you know, I'm knocking on wood right now, but I can't remember the last time I did significant tornado coverage here in Triburture.
We had uh several storms uh fronts come through last uh spring and then it was pretty quiet.
The last time we really had um, you know, extensive coverage for for anything traumatic was when we had uh Hurricane Helene coming through.
Of course we were on the right side of the system.
So
Um so it's been rather quiet, but it's this is gonna it could be ending up like a light switch, um, you know, for us in the southeast as far as that severe weather.
Well, I I I feel pretty good so far that it's been so quiet.
We only had one named storm, Tropical Storm Arthur and there's really nothing out there on the horizon that we need to worry about as far as anything in the way of development.
And as we talked about also earlier with the how strong the El Nino is, the a Colorado State University research uh hurricane unit uh really lowered their
Forecasts uh pretty significantly for
