Really important concept if you're concerned about climate is the reality of the energy mix in the world.
Asia dominated by coal, Africa.
And then in terms of amounts, Asia consumes, and primary energy again, Asia consumes half of the world's primary energy, half in Asia alone.
Dominated by China, India's starting to grow.
They're a quarter of China today.
Half the world's energy, because they make our stuff.
They make the world's stuff.
And then the rest of the world, you look at Africa, which is 1.2 to 3 billion people, very little energy consumption.
It's just getting started.
Europe and the US, we consume about a third of the world's energy.
We only have 16% of the world's people.
16% of the population, a third of the energy, we make half the global GDP.
Energy creates wealth.
Africa and Asia combined are three quarters of the world's population, three quarters.
They only consume half of the world's energy and they make a third of the world's GDP.
That's poverty.
