When the show first came out and that came out, I thought, oh, I'm not going to listen to this.
Yeah.
And now in researching the episode, I've listened to four or five of them and I'm like, oh, actually, contextually very different to that soundbite that was pulled out.
One of the really interesting dynamics I found with the brink was when you invited Boston, your son, on to have a conversation.
And I spoke to him in the lead up to this episode around β
what that experience was like.
Because if you haven't listened to the episode, there are themes in there from a family perspective which would be quite confronting, which address the breakdown of your marriage to Jamie and Boston's mum, addressing some of your issues as a father and where you were during the formative years of his life.
Yeah, yeah, totally.
Those are heavy conversations which sometimes are only had behind closed doors or with the help of a professional therapist to work some of that stuff out.
And it was a great gripping watch.
Mate, and you've got like a three-tiered parenting journey with your two eldest that are in their 30s and 20s.
You've got your middle son who's early teens, and then you've got the two little ones coming back behind you.
To close the loop on the story, when did you reconcile?
How did you reconcile?
When you're speaking these things...
How do you, like, is that a form of therapy for yourself to say some of these things out loud?
How's that going from player to owner?
So is it safe to say you won't be back?
Because you've done America recently to visit Jamie as well.
But, you know, like... We did ask that of Ringo and Boston.
