And at Seapoint, we're building for founders.
And one of the reasons why I started Seapoint is because I realized just how much I love spending time with founders.
And so I really started with that as the problem statement.
What can I build for founders with the skills that I have?
And I think this is something that every founder has to ask themselves, like, you might find problems that you can solve where you have a 10x better solution.
But if you don't want to get out of bed and talk to 10 of those customers every day, and if those customers don't give you energy and excitement, it's not the right problem for you to solve.
It should have been weird.
But Google was a very weird place back then.
And this is in 2011.
And one of the secrets to Google's success is that they really take people who have high agency and high growth mindset, which most founders are,
And they don't really care if you know anything about the role.
They don't really care if you know anything about the technology or the industry or what you're doing.
They're just like, when we find great people who are super smart, self-learners, self-starters, hire them, throw them somewhere, land them in the organization, and they're going to figure out and we're going to figure out what they can do and where they can be helpful.
So I joined Google in Dublin, working in this kind of team called sales operations, like helping out the sales teams.
And I didn't know anything about it, but they knew that I was pretty smart and can solve problems.
What made you want to work for a big company?
So after three startups, my three startups, the first one started after the dot-com crash.
And then the third one ended after the financial crash.
And it had been 10 years where we had no real like institutional capital, no venture capital.
It was a pretty kind of tough time at the time in Europe in terms of being a startup.
