And of course, it's getting harder to run a small business for a range of reasons, a whole heap of them.

And I mean, that's freedom, isn't it?

Like running your own business is the ability to be free.

We saw that during COVID.

I mean, the capital sort of drained out of the, you know, the shop fronts on main streets and went into the big end of town, which is a lot like government.

A lot of those big businesses are like government, you know, they're almost run with the same bureaucracy.

The effect of that has been to corral everyone into a, you know, sort of sense of compliance.

And I think it's getting worse and worse.

We're getting more and more surveillance.

We're getting – we just had digital ID come through.

And I think it's, you know, this sort of government getting bigger is ultimately a mechanism of control.

You've described a couple of them there by simply being on welfare, you know, you –

you're more likely to vote for those who will give you that or provide it or promise it.

Whereas really what we should be doing is trying to give people, you know, the aspiration, you know, get out and do your own thing.

But then you're less controllable if you do that.

So that's our message.

I mean, that was Menzies' message.

His whole point was to stand for the forgotten people.

You know, it wasn't about big business and it wasn't about organised labour.
