I mean, you can see, I always say, if you want to know how Canberra's run, you just come to an estimates week when the bureaucrats are rolling in and out of the building and it's like the bosses are in town.

So, I mean, that's my interpretation.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but as the numbers get bigger, it gets easier to control what they... I mean, yeah, I just think...

And of course, anyone with a better grasp of economics than me would probably draw a line through this.
But if you're going to shrink the bureaucratic class, you've got to have something for people to do.
You've got to have work for them to go.
How do you do that while building industry?
And building industry while there's so many regulatory traps as well.
It's like the housing industry, for example.
We talk about how we don't have enough homes.
There are a variety of reasons for that.
