I mean, we've got to be serious and look for waste and inefficiency.

I mean, the idea that there's no waste and inefficiency in health, education or NDIS is a lie.

And people know it.

So I just think, look, the politicians spend too much time with the spin doctors being told to say safe things.

And look where that's got us.

I think we're in a big hole in this country and we've got to be bolder.

And that's why we're seeing the prospect of disruption in Australian politics because people are onto it.

And-

People are smart.

And when you see the politicians, I'm trying not to be too political, but you see the way that the Labor government have sold their budget, they're talking to us like we're idiots, like we're all children.

Well, I just can't believe that they think that people are stupid.

I mean, Australians are innately very clever.

The fact that we have millions of small businesses, the fact that we've had some of the world's most successful startups from nothing shows how smart we are.

The fact that our businesses compete on a world scale, whether it's Canva or whether it's Afterpay or whatever, Atlassian shows how successful our people are, that they've...

started businesses in backyards and garages, in Anthony Eisen's case, and they've taken on the world.

So I was saying to you before, we had Senate estimates last night in Canberra and we had a session with the Environment Minister, Murray Watt, who was trying to tell me that I was too stupid to understand

how housing and environment works because i asked well if you want to build houses where there's 50 gum trees do i have to plant 50 gum trees somewhere else and he said i was too stupid to understand his answer so he wouldn't answer the question question is if i take down 50 trees do i have to plant 50 new trees i'll let the department give you an answer

I mean, that's the sort of attitude that has got people's backs up because people aren't stupid.

They will understand.
