And then they are going outside and we're not seeing any of those same strategies.

So this could be for so many different reasons, and it's not really fair to just put the responsibility on one person.

This lack of carryover could be because the family isn't carrying it over, but it could be because of the way that the therapist has not set up systems for the family to carry it over.

And

It could be sometimes families almost putting the onus on the therapist, like, no, but I bring them to you.

And therefore, when we're not seeing progress, this is something that you are doing as a therapist as opposed to something that we are not doing at home.

And I tell my therapist this all the time.

Like when we do encounter families like that, which is less common, but there are definitely times when we are in session and we are doing everything right.

And we're still not seeing the carryover in other places.

And I think therapists need to give themselves grace in cases like this because we can only do so much when we are seeing a kid maybe 30 minutes a week or an hour a week.

We can only do so much in our 30 minute session.

So I just think we have to realize that this is a lot bigger of a picture and there are a lot more people involved than just the therapist and the child.

So the question that I would ask is, does the family know
