Having that conversation about materials and materiality and our footprint was so interesting to have with people that ranged from 60 to 95 in age.

That was really, really incredible.

Even writing it up, that activity of writing it up, creating a survey, doing all those things, what a huge, tremendous learning experience.

I couldn't be more grateful that programs like that exist because it gives artists support and it gives community support and we get to come together in just the most beautiful way.

Cultural Council is who supported that grant.

And I should say thank you to the governor's office and New York State Council for the Arts for their support, their grant, which led to Into the Microverse.

I mean, that project, I'm writing it up right now, actually, because I have to submit the final proposal.

But when I look back at it, there were great groups like Climate Cafe came in and

I did a sound meditation with them.

And then they sat around and we did drawings and we made scenes.

And they don't talk about how to solve problems with environment.

They talk about their feelings.

And I think it's mostly Gen Z and millennials with the highest concentration in that particular group.

But that day, I think we had people from age 20 up to mid 60s and listening to the different generations speak of how they feel.

Not trying to solve climate change, but just sharing their feelings.

Like what a rich moment.

And without Niska, without that grant, without Long Island City Artists supporting me, without the studios that donated the space, like I wouldn't have had the ability to create that space, that installation, that opportunity to connect with community like that.

I think we had at least half a dozen events in the space over two weeks.
