I think the body of evidence for that decision was just so overwhelming that he was resigned to it.
But you're right.
He does really like the All-Star game.
He likes being a part of it.
He likes hanging out with different players and chatting with everybody and being a part of things.
So it's not like this was a slam dunk for him.
But I just think the case was so strong for him to do this that he couldn't really argue against it.
they have to let him pitch.
Right.
And he needs, he needs more reps.
And when they activated him, they knew that he wasn't at, you know, full big league readiness for, for lack of a better way to put it.
Right.
He was still trying to get as sharp as he can be and be more precise with his location and have his execution be a little bit tighter.
And,
But there was need at the big league level and they didn't have runway to give him more time in rehab outings.
And so here he is, figure this out on the fly.
And so the Blue Jays have had to do a lot of things on the pitching side this year that were uncomfortable or not the way you would do it in an ideal world.
just because of need, you know, whether that was, you know, how Trey Savage was built up, you know, the backs and forths with Max Scherzer, Shane Bieber here, you know, they were kind of hustling to get Jose Barrios going before he ultimately blew out, you know,
They've had to push because they've had urgent need at the big league level, and they've just gone so deep into their depth chart that they just don't have options anymore.
So I think that for the time being, it's continuing for Bieber to continue to focus on execution.
