I think that's what then sort of comes through with their frustration with umpiring.

But I think really where the frustration lies is how some of those new laws have been brought in.

They're brought in with very genuine intent.

They're there to make the job easier.

In this case, it was to remove that theatre around insufficient intent.

But then it's now created another grey area.

And I think it's these grey areas that certainly frustrate the fans and frustrate any sort of lovers of the game.

And I guess that then manifests itself to those that are in charge with actually implementing these laws.

And to the first part of your question, look, the game's always been challenging to umpire.

Is it more challenging now than years gone by?

It's a different challenge.

But the umpiring group, they're challenged with the task of implementing these laws.

They're challenged with wanting to provide week-to-week consistency.

And that's what their main focus will be.
