It's really daunting to me.
Yeah, I would imagine.
I think both of our parents did a phenomenal job and did a very similar style of raising us in athletics where it was, they never really cared.
And I don't mean that in like a, they didn't care at all.
But they were more excited to bring us home and have dinner than they were to go to a competition where you could potentially get a medal.
They would celebrate it and say, good job, but do you want to go get pizza or a burger?
Like, I don't, we don't need to talk about that ever again, unless you want to, you know?
And it was, it was just never about the sport.
It was about the kid first and the family.
And then the sport was just extra.
Yeah.
I know.
His dad was like all white.
I had to act like a professional USA flag bearer, basically.
And I also had to balance being a 12-year-old.
I traveled to 20-some different countries by myself at 12.
I just knew by the time I was done with the Olympics that I was just done.
