So I think that there's so much value in people seeking bit fitters to h get them help.
in finding equipment, but I think it's also important and I I I would wonder if this is something that you maybe run into as well, where people are expecting you to solve all of their problems when those problems might not be directly pertaining to their equipment and then if they're ever like disappointed if you can't solve whatever is going on with their horse.
Yeah, that I think that's awesome.
The body work background must be really helpful too, because then you notice muscular patterns and certain things in the body that other people might not notice.
Um, and yeah, I th I think that's important because I do think like you said, a lot of people are trying and they're trying to get themselves out of a situation with the horse if they have been using harsher equipment, that there's that period of time where there's the adjustment period.
Um and it can be a difficult
area to navigate, but I think the biggest thing is just trying to promote more ethical equipment.
Um one question I forgot to ask you earlier when you brought up that you didn't like twisted wire bits is again for people who are unfamiliar with the mechanics of that, if you could explain why and how they work, why horses tend to be a little bit more responsive or a lot more responsive to them.
Um, because they'll let lighten right up in your hands if you put twisted wire in their mouth.
But yeah, I'd be interested in hearing that as well.
Yeah, and so many people are willing to justify it and normalize the same practices too.
So it creates this illusion of it being normal and fine because so many people are
participating in the same mindset.
Um, I like bringing up the water for it, I think, is a good one 'cause I see a lot of people saying that it is actually a softer bit 'cause it's completely collapsible and it the horse can't lean on it and it's marketed as this really
form fitting bit to just collapse and f mold to the mouth.
So I think that's a really good one to bring up because it's a huge common misconception that it's actually a soft bit.
One hundred percent.
I always say soft hands don't seek weapons 'cause that's like as soon as you choose for like a bit that serves the purpose of amplifying the action of your hands, it doesn't matter how soft your hands are, 'cause you've made the choice to amplify the effect that they have on the horse.
