If you don't get in line with what leadership is telling you, you you could end up in the crosshairs.
You talked about Overland Park having the lowest property tax rate in the state, but I think a lot of people are can look at Overland Park and look at large swaths of rural Kansas um with very different needs, very different communities.
How do you create a tax policy for the state that can solve these problems?
I wanna ask about your your choice for a running mate, Jennifer Riccani McKinney.
Um tell us who who she is and why you chose her and what she brings to you the the to the ticket.
Uh and um believe it was both those things when the pandemic hit.

And I I've had the fortune of of interviewing Jennifer a few times over the years because she was a source during the the COVID-19 pandemic.
And um, you know, she testified before Congress uh uh on that topic.
Um, has also been an advocate for her community and has created some community events down there.
She I imagine that she's a bridge for you between, you know, somebody from Big City and Johnson County.
And somebody who has, you know, lived a good chunk of her life in rural Kansas.
Does she have ideas for for helping rural hospitals outside of Medicaid expansion?
Because I know Laura Kelly has made this a priority as well.
And with the legislative makeup right now, it's just sort of a non starter.
Are there other ways to address rural healthcare?
Sometimes it's even just major services.
You know, finding maternity care in in some of these places.
Maybe the hospital is still there, but there's no longer maternity care.
