You know, the the rhetoric the rhetoric we hear around this from people on the right who are working to prevent Medicaid expansion is always about giving handouts to so called able bodied adults.
Um, we know that um almost everybody who's on Medicaid or would be on on Medicaid under expansion are actually working, but what do you say to to the people who are worried about this being another government handout to people?
So you've mentioned uh a couple of times the the name of your favorite Kansas Senate president, Ty Masterson.
But the first step for you is winning the primary race.
And so we have uh a couple of Democrats in there from the legislature.
That's Senator Cindy Holster, who's uh from Overland Park.
Uh we also have Ethan Corson, who the governor, um former governor Kathleen Sibilius and others have endorsed.
Um
Um, he's from Fairway.
Uh how do you assess the competition?
What other than not being in the legislature, what distinguishes you from the two of them?
everybody in this race list says they're the only candidate that can win.

When you you talk about that are you are you talking about immigrants, LGBTQ community?
Uh you know, when you say everybody is welcome, uh who who are you thinking of that's not currently welcome?
Is it a a liability for Democrats that every candidate in this race is uh from Johnson County?
I think one of the the challenges in this race for both Democrats and Republicans is that nobody knows who any of you are.
You know, that it is very very limited uh
polling data on this, even going back to to last year, and I should say I'm highly skeptical of any polling that I've seen, especially the the internal stuff, but um you know, nobody knows who their their state senator is.
Nobody even knows who the state Senate president is.
