But are you going to forgive a man in his 40s for perhaps the same thing or for showing a pattern of behavior that didn't change?
Certainly.
And actually, I'd just add one thing, which is that move fast and break things was changed as Facebook's official motto, because I think they were skewered in the press for that particular motto.
However, to this day, if you go to Facebook's headquarters, that is the code for their Wi-Fi.
And that is at least for guests, not for internally.
And that is still in many conference rooms.
That's still visible across their offices.
And when you speak to engineers who work there, that is still the company ethos.
So I think for PR reasons, they needed to shift it, but that's still very much in the DNA of the company.
Very much.
And I think that that is part of his personality to respond with logic, to respond with facts.
He likes to look at data.
Data drives almost all of his decisions.
So even in a crisis, he's known for being very, very data driven.
He wants to see poll numbers.
He wants to see surveys.
But I'd say that it's also a lesson he's learned over time because he has had one crisis after another that...
he has managed to weather just by being too big to fail.
And that, you know, at this point, so much of the world is reliant on one of his products, whether that's WhatsApp, which so much of the world uses to communicate or Instagram or Facebook, et cetera.
He kind of, I think he has realized that he can make these blunders.
