And again, I get it honestly, right?
He was pretty, very demonstrative out there after his, after a number of inning ending double plays to help him out, but seven walks from Trey Savage.
And when John was talking about the, the issues from Hoffman and with the clip we played coming back from break,
He also talked about how walks were a bit of a theme today.
11 total walks in this ballgame, seven of them from Yosavage.
I mean, that's as many walks as Yosavage has issued in his last four starts combined, right?
I mean, it was a real grind for him today.
Now, again, we mentioned the double plays.
Three straight inning ending double plays helping him get out of the second, third and fourth.
And then in the fourth, multiple runners on.
I think multiple runs on all of those innings, actually.
But fifth inning of work, 11 pitches, far more efficient.
Finally got ahead of batters instead of falling behind.
like he did for a good chunk of the game prior to that.
I mean, the fastball looked good in that inning, and maybe Pete Walker was just telling him, hey, lean on this thing a little bit more.
That was probably the right time to get him out of there because he did look visibly frustrated.
Probably, again, still another maybe positive note for him that on a day, and again, he was helped greatly by his defense, but a positive note that you can grind and not have your best stuff or even your B stuff and still manage to get through at least five innings of work.
Again, it wasn't all him, but I suppose that's good to see.
I think the tough thing about this too is, and again, they kind of tightrope that until the literal end of the game with Hoffman, as we've discussed, I think we covered it pretty, pretty extensively at this point.
But, you know, the tough thing really was that, I mean, it's probably a good thing they managed to get one more inning out of him because otherwise, and Yariel Rodriguez comes out and Y-Rod immediately walked Alonzo and then a single to Basayo.
