And that does not mean I'm working harder.
Like if you look at a shameless media, there are such a great example of these female founders in the media landscape in Australia, they have about 10% of the entire, I think female Australian podcast audience listens to one of shameless as podcasts and they have multiple podcasts.
So there are these two women and they have multiple podcasts.
They just co-host their main show, but they have extra shows where they hire extra people and,
They're not necessarily working much, much, much, much, much harder than maybe when they were like interns at another company.
And yet, because they are able to expand and have the leverage and grow their equity, Shameless Media is about to do $10 million in revenue.
now that doesn't mean that these two co-founders are going to take all that home because after like the fees of all their staff and you know their office and the things that they use there's probably not millions of dollars left over but there's probably a decent amount left over in between the two of them like that's a very comfortable life and probably more than they would have gotten if they had just gone through the corporate route and slowly worked up over time
And one of them now works three days.
Sound like a stalker.
One of them works three days a week.
One of them works four days a week.
And you would not be able to command such a high salary and work three days a week.
If you were not your own business owner, if you were not in charge, like very few companies are going to be like, Sim, you're so good at what you do.
You can still make the same amount and you can work three days a week.
Like that would just be a dream.
And the fourth reason why you should start a business in 2026 is it has honestly, how do I say this without sounding like an angry older sister?
It has honestly never been easier to be a business owner as a woman.
The barriers to entry are almost on the floor.
