I'm not going to answer that question because it's not unfair of you to ask me the question, but it's unfair of me to answer it because the situation is so fluid.
If we were having this conversation two weeks ago, I would have been making the point that oil prices were rapidly falling.
We're making the point that they pass them on at the pump quicker.
God knows where we'll be in another two weeks.
God knows where we'll be in six weeks, which I think it is till the 1st of September.
What I would say is we've shown at every step of the way through this crisis to be agile, to be nimble, to be flexible.
Well, what I'm saying is the plan is the plan.
The greatest economic intervention we can see is de-escalation in the Middle East.
But it's always been the position of the government that we keep the issue under review.
Six weeks till the 1st of September.
There's a budget on the 6th of October.
I think we're more right even now than we were at the time we took the decision to take a phased week-by-week approach in monitoring this.
And we'll monitor it very closely.
We'll make these decisions closer to the time.
So the carbon tax is a really important form of revenue.
I mean, taxes do matter.
They're relied on to fund the state.
The money goes back into things like fuel allowance, things like retrofitting.
It's also fair to say that the carbon tax trajectory was set at a time before the war in Ukraine, before Iran was invaded.
It's also fair to say possibly the carbon tax, not possibly, it doesn't affect everybody equally in the country.
