I actually think charity related businesses are a bit broken.
So when I started out six years ago, my original thinking is maybe I'll get into politics.
I'll go and fix the education system from inside the system.
And then I realised something I know to be true.
You can't put a fire out in a house unless you're outside the house.
So I decided to fix the education system from outside it.
When I first started making content, what I quickly realized was the first bucket I needed to fill was my own.
So I wanted to help people.
I wanted to feel useful and I wanted to be seen.
My whole journey is a selfish one.
I wasn't doing it to be philanthropic.
I wasn't doing it to give back.
I wanted to be useful.
I'd sold my company and I fell into a kind of depression.
I'm like, what am I here for?
What's the point?
