So I was trying to play it cool.
But the other side of me was a guy and his family who had become a lawyer.
Now, funnily enough, this guy that became a lawyer, I actually known him decades before.
And when he became a lawyer, it was kind of a big thing in our social thing that he'd become a lawyer.
It was very fancy thing to become a lawyer.
I was a broke entrepreneur trying to make it.
I couldn't get a job was the perception of entrepreneurship back then.
Entrepreneurship was those that couldn't get a job, right?
So I was an entrepreneur.
And Ricky Gervais at that time, who I didn't know, was a struggling, trying to be a singer guy, right?
He was doing radio on the side, but he wanted to be a singer.
People were laughing at him.
People were laughing at me.
In the time that I lived there, every single morning, the person who was now, we're now in our 40s, he's getting up at six o'clock in the morning, he's going home at midnight, he doesn't see his family all day.
And he's moaning to me he doesn't get to see his family on the Sunday afternoon when he's having a nap because he's so tired.
Whereas me and Ricky Gervais are walking around Hampstead Heath.
We're having the laugh time of our life.
The point I'm getting to is like a lot of people listening, what they should do if they're in a job they don't love or worse, they haven't got this job that they thought they wanted.
You know what?
Go interview the people with that job.
