But when you do that, you give the power to the school and to the teachers.
You know, parents getting told off taking their kids on holiday, right?
They go a week early to save some money because it gets so expensive at school term.
They get fined, they get into trouble and all sorts of like repercussions.
It's your kid.
You don't have control.
So when you opt into the school system, you are basically given control to the school to decide whether or not they go to school or not.
Yeah.
But when you home educate, you're just not opting in.
Now, different councils have different rules, but they do have safeguards in place, as they should, saying, is your kid learning stuff?
What are they learning?
So every three months I have to produce, I say I, my wife does it all.
She produces a report that shows what he's learned.
And if you look to what he's learned versus the school system, like he's naturally learning.
He's consuming through interest.
He's not consuming based on what the school system have told him to learn.
They have a broad curriculum model.
But again, like most of the people doing the judging don't even have kids.
They're like council forms that you tick the boxes to say.
But again, like as a parent, I want the best for my child.
