This happened to my family.

This was me three years ago.

My godson was killed in a water incident with a bunch of white boys in Florida.

And we had to navigate that very strategically in order to preserve facts and so forth.

So how did my baby drown?

Because I couldn't let everybody who I know, all y'all had something to do with this.

I couldn't let them know or they wouldn't have told me what they told me.

So I'm saying that from both experience as a practitioner and experience as a mother figure.

So the question is valid, which is they weren't talking anyway.

But I want to clarify, they weren't talking to the civil attorney.

They're not supposed to.

That's not necessarily unusual, particularly in a case that now has national attention.

So what happened is my godson, he graduated from an underwater welding program, top of his class, the only black student to do so of about 40.

He was one of the few to get a job, a good job, underwater welding at like the age of 20, 21.

He goes out boating.
