I feel like it's, you know, we hear a lot about the gambling addiction because of phones for men.
But I think that there is a shopping addiction or a fixing addiction.
You know, we've been marketed a problem 24-7 between from
you know, the condition of our eyelashes right the way to... And you're there buying an eyelash serum at two in the morning because you think this is going to fix your life.
And multiply that to every cell in your body.
There is something wrong in a product to fix it.
And when you're vulnerable and when you feel rejected and when you are in a state of I wasn't good enough to keep my husband, that's a read.
That's an open chasm of I need to buy everything now to fix me.
No, but I actually spoke on a podcast for drinkaware.ie over here.
And it was on the topic of mummy wine o'clock.
And how, again, I'm reflecting back on kind of that 2018 mummy culture.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That I was in, that I kind of entered into.
And wine was marketed as the solution to your overwhelm.
Yes.
You know, the six o'clock, daddy's home, mummy opens the wine, you know, to get through the day.
Yeah.
And it was fun and there was mugs and there was little tin square things that you hang in your kitchen.
But a couple of years in and you're like, no, I needed therapy and sleep and food and nutrition and movement and people and financial security.
You know, because maternity leave wasn't paying and I needed to sleep at night knowing that I was safe in my body, not drink it all away with wine.
