But I had, you know, anxiety like I had never felt before, like an alarm bell was going off inside my body.

That was screaming, your baby is hungry, your baby needs you.

And rational thinking couldn't override it.

You know, I was like, but they're at home with expressed milk.

I've got the text message to say they took it.

You know, and somebody at the table said to me, yeah, but your boobs don't know.

Exactly.

Your boobs don't know.

Your brain knows.

All your boobs know is they haven't been emptied.

And if they haven't been emptied, your baby hasn't fed.

And if your baby hasn't fed, their life is at risk.

And I was like, my boobs don't know.

That's why.

And I think that that alarm system, that protective layer, that instinct that is initiated in pregnancy and is really perfected in postpartum,
