I wanted it because life is always going to give us something that we have to.

So much is going to continue to come and stretch us and it will all leave its mark.

That's just the nature of life.
But we have been sold, as you said, with the self-help books.
that something will happen and you will fix yourself and then that's who you'll be.

And that is not the case.
And not to bash because I, you know, I don't know this person, but there was a piece in your book that really riled me.

Well, there was many, but him pointing, him blaming your comedic success or him using the rise of your comedic success as one of the reasons why he felt a lack from you.
Yes.
And needed to seek it somewhere else.
