bit of a a a sort of an earnings warning, um a ahead of their their reporting.
Uh but I think it's obviously just showing you, you know, e equity equity markets and prices are are elevated and and you know what's been driving that has been, you know, um earnings beating expectations and so, you know, th they they've they've missed and and so
Um, you know, I I guess in a session where you've had still a bank results, you I guess you're seeing that shifting out of out of IBM.
But as you said, the company did note sort of the miss came from
Um, the the obviously the customer spending where where there's sort of more customers uh uh spent putting their money towards servers and chips and away from sort of the products that IBM IBM sells.
Yeah, so so we did the that business survey was released yesterday.
Um, you know, it saw a a m a continued improvement in in confidence.
So confidence levels were up nine points.
So that's the third consecutive monthly rise.
Um recall that we did see a big drop in confidence when the um on the commencement of the Middle East Middle East conflict.
So it it that that's that index does still remain negative.
So it is minus five, but um a good result there.
Conditions remain steady unchanged at at plus three.
Um so an okay result there, but it would point out that it does still remain below its long run average, which is plus point seven.
And other things to note were the further easing in cost and price price pressures.
So also recall that that they did spike back in back in March.
So
So you know, overall in a in a broad macro sense the survey sort of results remain consistent with a view of a slowing in in activity growth through through the first half of this year.
Um, but it also does show that that initial impact of the Middle East conflict hasn't been as severe as as we um had initially thought in terms of the the price and cost pressures.
Yeah, look, in the the confidence um did did rise.
