I should say surprise in a positive, not a negative way.
And then finally, gratitude is the antidote to hedonic adaptation, right?
Because when you think about it, when you adapt to something, you start taking things for granted.
And when you're grateful, it's like you don't take it for granted anymore, right?
So like if I'm grateful for my health, I'm not taking my health for granted.
So truly expressing gratitude, but it's not easy, right?
I mean, how often can you sort of express gratitude for your car or even for your spouse?
