Well, Carrie, one of the things I am always most excited about at the farmers market in the summer are cherries.
I love cherries.
We used to have a cherry tree growing up.
I just there's so many ways to use cherries.
And of course, when they first come out, you really just want to eat them.
You know, sometimes you want them chilled in your fridge and eating them really ice cold at the end of the day.
It's such a uniquely summer experience.
So sometimes I want a cherry recipe though.
If I have like a big haul because I usually buy more than I need, is like what can I do with them that just accentuates their freshness.

Cherry claffu tea.
Yeah, I did get hooked on to a version from Alice Waters that my friend Ethan told me about, where it's not like any other claw food tea I've ever had.
It's actually more like a upside down sour cherry cake, like a very, very light cake.
That one was extremely good.
And she has you cook the cake with the cherries still with their pits in, which is really interesting.
