And I do, you know, I find it extraordinary that at the age of 58, I'm still, I don't, it shouldn't be extraordinary, but, you know, I'm surrounded by lots of women my age now who are, we are the generation that are coming up and still going, you know, the Fiona Bruce and Rita Chakrabarti and all these people.
Yeah.
And we're still there going.
But I think what the sporting side of it has done has made me feel very empowered and very strong, physically and mentally.
And I use it, I use what I've learnt...
now at work I mean that's that's what I found really funny about the whole running thing and the strength thing is it's it has infiltrated my life and so I hadn't realized how much so it's just the fabric of my life now it becomes it gets me through so many things so I write about you know I write obviously about running and races but I write about work and dealing with things at work and dealing with big challenges and big interviews and
And actually realizing that I'm using stuff that I've learned through running and sport.
There was one interview in particular with Boris Johnson.
And that was like doing a marathon.
Just I was reacting the same way.
And I thought afterwards, how weird, how extraordinary that I am behaving in exactly the same way as I do in the run up to a race.
And just also, you know, awful things.
My father dying and George Aligaya dying and everything.
But somehow it has.
I wrote a chapter called Harnessing the Mind.
And I think the sport and the strength and the running has taught me to harness my mind.
And it's been quite a slow learning curve.
And I think I only now realize what it has done and how it has done it.
But I think now at the age of 58, I'm actually I'm far, far more fearless.
I've spent a lot of time trying to pull out of races in the past and signing up to things and thinking, I can't do it.
