It's a little bit unorthodox.

I would say it's probably going to be a little bit more common in the coming years, I think.

I mean, Carolina had success with it this year.

So when we made the trade for Devin Levi, he's got a lot of ability and he's got a lot of upside promise as a young goalie, and we think really highly of him.

But the other side of it is,

Experience at that position is always important in the NHL level as well.

So we still have Tristan Jari, but we just felt going into the day yesterday, if we were able to add a young goalie and an experienced goalie, that would have been a perfect day for us.

So we contacted Freddie as soon as the window opened up for free agency and we let him know that we were interested.

Shortly after that, we made the trade and we kept in touch with Freddie

throughout the day.

It took a little time to get him there.

Mike Babcock has a history with him from Toronto.

So Mike played a role in that as well, which was great.

And, you know, Freddie's had some injuries over the last couple of years.

So, you know, maybe when he doesn't have to carry the full workload, I think we just saw how well he played.

He got the team to the Stanley Cup.

I thought he was excellent getting Carolina there.

He didn't play a lot of games last year because of injury, but

He was very good last season.

He's been a good goalie for the last few.
