And as much privacy as you got was as long as the phone cord was.

And I'm not saying we have to go back there, but having a landline, it does a couple of things.

At night, my family knows if they need me in the middle of the night, do not call my cell phone because you're not going to get me.

You need to call my landline.

Now, when that thing rings in the middle of the night, it's happened a few times.

It's like heart attack central, but at least they have a way to reach me and I'm not exposing myself to wireless radiation while I sleep.

The other thing you can do with each of your carriers, you can actually forward your phone calls from your cell phone to your landline of your home.

So with Verizon, it's star 72 with the number that you want to forward it to.

And then when you're ready to cancel it, you do star 73.

Each provider has a different prompt, but it's as easy as Googling it.
