We had access for the first time to what's called the National Hospital Cost Dataset, which consists of information about the costs of treating individual patients in the biggest hospitals in the country, covering about eighty percent of all hospital admissions. matched

So what we did was uh look at the variation that occurred and we found significant variations within states. matched
