He actually does when we talk about this, uh we're sorry, we do this in another story where he he actually had a time like a sliding doors moment where he was in um he lived in America for a while.
He went to America as as a part of a troubles project, you know, cross community.
There's quite a lot of them at the time.
He went over there and was liv lived there on and off for about six years, with quite
wealthy family, he says.
And he had an up, they were going to adopt him.
He'd been quite estranged from his own family.
So they were going to adopt him.
He could have had a completely different life.
I think he got homesick.
He said that he he he basically was being kept back a year at school, which he didn't like.
He came back to Northern Ireland, chucked himself into the troubles and at the age of 22 became a fully fledged signed-up member of the UVF.
He I mean he he he's spoken about how he would be he would be one of the most uh mate the main gunmen in South Belfast.
Ud F he'd be going out in jobs, he'd be given a name of somebody, they're a target.
He'd have a day there memorise all their details, given photos, and then it would be up to him to decide, him and his team to decide when they were gonna strike.
I mean, that's appalling, just listening to it as if it's as if it's a like a normal job.
You know, you're given it is an absolute it's appalling to listen to.
This is this is, I mean, he wasn't alone in this.
And sadly, obviously during the troubles of there were lots of people who were who who did this.
Um, so yes, around uh uh I think 1994, I think, maybe around then, he went on a job to uh kill uh a I supposed I IRA man who lived in Pole Glas the Pool Glass area of uh West Belfast.
