And SB 35 has been modified multiple times, including one modification that was done just for one city, Cupertino.
I would say some of the speaker things to take away.
One speaker really urged us, urged cities to have legislative review committees because there are so many state laws on housing.
There were, the last day, Cal Cities presented a list of the upcoming housing laws going through the legislature.
There's 46 new housing laws going through.
Some of them are trying to clean up older laws, some are new laws.
Some are harmless, some are very harmful.
So it's very urgent that we stay on top of this.
So I'm so glad our city council reestablished the legislative review committee after previous city council unfortunately had gotten rid of it.
Another speaker urged cities to keep their impact
And in lieu fees up to date, continue to do nexus studies because most cities are falling behind on what those in lieu fees should actually be and the impact fees.
Yeah, the last day, the Cal City's legislative advocate went through all those housing bills very fast, too fast in my opinion.
That should have been a two-hour session, not a 30-minute session.
I do have a list of all 46 laws, but I'm not going to go through them right now.
