What do you do?

It's really easy to say, keep on doing your job.

I want to show them some grace that they have to make some choices for themselves about how much they do.

And again, I believe in them, but it does potentially erode the value that intelligence can provide

to the security of our nation and free and open societies.

And again, I love this country, but one of the things I love about it is as we go, the free world tends to go.

Our partners and allies require us, need us to be big and beefy and a beacon for,

And if we start appearing like we're just part of the same grift, then it is harder for them, just like it's harder for an individual in the community to stand up and be big and beefy and integrous.

I think they're kind of momentarily in a quandary.

They need us.

We are still a nation of laws.

Doing business with us is still better.

We do bring remarkable capability that we're putting on display in Iran right now, but we have remarkable capability.

And so they need us, right?

And so they can't go so far as to turn away from

Nor, by the way, should we be so egotistical that we think we don't require them.

We do.

So I hate that piece too, but they're stuck because they need us.

And because aligning with us is better for them, more trustworthy, our resources, our partnership is better for them.

But when I talk about rewiring, you're seeing it.
