And as leaders, whether we're leaders or people who are listening who are leaders, be aware of the different makeup in your team or in a meeting.

If you're leading a meeting or a conversation, make sure that those people that haven't responded as much have the space to respond.

I believe that when we're communicating with others, whether we're listening, whether we are speaking, it is a performance.

And I know back to when I went to music college, having a beautiful voice wasn't enough.

You had to own the stage.

You had to own that space.
