And the trick he's doing is he's just showing genuine curiosity without placing judgment.

In fact, he's just often sharing an observation about what he sees.

So I noticed back there when we were having a conversation, you said this.

What was that about?

And it's not accusational.

It's just genuine curiosity.

If you want someone to go a little bit deeper, do that.

Reflect back to them what you were seeing and without judgment, get them to open up on it.

So that's another really good trick.

We run into these conversations quickly.

If you've had a bad day and your partner's at home, you might want to unburden your day on them.

And some people just have this absolute knack for problem solving.
