But there's still a limit to the number of players who can go and play in these competitions.
The English League, which is nowhere near as strong as the Australian competition, they can only take two imports per team.
The Australians can't be seen to be taking too many international players when this is still their domestic competition.
This is still the breeding ground for their Australian Diamonds, who are the world champions.
They can't be giving all the spots away to Kiwis.
I think they'll be looking at other options right now and I think that'd be sensible too.
The kind of feeling is that in the next two weeks, we should hear something about the future of the competition.
It may be that it's no longer professional, that next year it may become an amateur competition.
The players this year had already taken a 20% pay cut.
Now, that was partly because the competition has reduced from three rounds to two.
So it was kind of in keeping with that.
The previous year, when the competition dropped down around, the players stayed on the same pay scale.
So this 20% was probably expected when we knew that the sport was struggling.
You know, it could be that the players and the coaches don't get paid next year to play.
And in some cases, players won't have any other options.
You know, they'll have to stay and play or
feel that they have to stay in play.
I hope that corporates are going to look at this situation and say, maybe we can help you in 2028.
But as far as 2027 goes, you know, time has almost run out.
But I think what's now at stake is the broadcast deal.
