Especially if Musco comes back, you have Ray, you have Mize.

You don't have much of a margin for error after that, but like that's still in a fine spot.

In a wildcard series, you can throw King, Robbie Ray, and Casey Mize out there.

You can throw a combination, you know, throw Musco in there.

You can have a combination of those guys throw those three games, right?

And then you can have the other guy start game one of a division series if you go three.

And then you win that and you go to a division series.

It's not the end of the world.

And then with days off, you could probably go the game one wildcard starter in game two.

If they need to, they can go with a bullpen game or piggyback situation.

So if one of these guys can't make it, if Pavetta's done, Musgrove, we really need them to make it.

But it's not the end of the world if one of them –

I think the Padres probably the smart thing was for them to expect that only one of them was going to make it back and not both.

Both would have been a plus.

But they probably were expecting Pavetta to be the one to make it instead of Musgrove.

That would just be a guess, but I love Joe.

So I'm rooting for him.

I really want him to be back.

If he's the one that comes back and it's not Pavetta, I know he's going to compete his butt off to help this team win.

And Pavetta would too.
