The tentative agreement between New York Presbyterian Columbia Hospital and the nurses who have been on strike for almost six weeks still has to be approved by rank and file members of the New York State Nurses Association, the union that represents them.
Nearly 15,000 nurses walked off the job on January 12th, citing issues like staffing levels and even episodes of workplace violence.
Last week, more than 10,000 nurses at four hospitals reached deals with their employers and have already gone back to work.
Nurses at New York Presbyterian Columbia held out.
The spokesperson for the hospital confirmed that a tentative deal has been reached.

Investigators recovered a sawed-off shotgun, an AR-15-style rifle, and ammunition from a storage unit registered to Robert Dorgan, as well as an electronic device and other firearm accessories from his apartment.
Police say Dorgan killed his ex-wife Rhonda and son Aiden at another son's high school hockey game before turning the gun on himself.
Michael Black disarmed Dorgan and described it on Fox and Friends.
Rhonda Dorgan's parents were also shot.
They're in critical condition.

Houston police say they responded to the disturbance at William P. Hobby Airport after a passenger reportedly tried to breach the cockpit of a Delta Airlines flight.
The plane, which appeared to be headed to Atlanta, was pulling into the gate when officers responded.
Police say a person believed to be experiencing a mental health issue was taken off the aircraft.
Witnesses say they saw a man being led out of the airport in handcuffs, but officials have not confirmed whether it was the same passenger involved in the reported breach.
