However, the way the board is kind of describing neutral suggests that even one more interest rate cut actually may see you
in neutral so to me it suggests the board is very uncertain in terms of where the neutral rate is uh the neutral the neutral rate could be higher than the kind of those those staff estimates there and i think that it just illustrates why the rba is being very very cautious and they don't really know where neutral is they could be say 25 basis points of where neutral is and in that environment you do want to be relatively cautious
And I think Alphabet will also be very interesting as well.
There's some analysis done recently about the impact of AI on search and advertising.
And I know on the Google platform, when you do searches, there's an AI summary now at the very top.
And there was some analysis done that shows that people are much less likely to actually click through to underlying links and hence the ad revenue if they're presented with that AI overview summary.
So for firms out there that are purely dependent on ad revenue, particularly from search, then I think the development of AI, the development of AI summaries and the ability to
Ask those questions in an AI environment.
We'll continue to pressure the business case around just raw search and raw advertising revenue from search as well.

Uh you'd have to say it's actually probably a relatively mild market reaction.
Um so when you look at uh the S P five hundred, well that's down by about one percent.
Uh you look at the uh currency markets, the US dollar is up a little bit, but it's starting to reverse a little bit of that.
And then you look at yields, they're actually higher than they are lower.
So I'd say there's only been a relatively mild market reaction.
And when you looked at the details of these letters that have gone out to I think
Seven countries so far, although the White House press secretary did say there's going to be 14 letters in total today and a few more in the coming days.
It looks like uh effectively what the Trump administration has done is for those countries that they've been unable to come to a negotiation with, which is many countries it seems, uh they've effectively pushed out the date in uh which the effective Liberation Day tariffs would come into place.
