In this data it suggests no the labour market is not softening by that much.
So there's no rush, you can afford to wait.
Yes, I think uh the head of the ADP um was talking about a low firing, low hiring equilibrium in the US labour market.
That seems to be what's broadly playing out there and you can clearly see that in it in that jobless claims number having ticked back down.
You look at the other sub-indexes, there was a big lift in the new orders index up 4.9 points to 51.3, and a big lift in business activity up 4.2 points to 54.2.
So it does suggest a little bit of recovery uh creeping into the services sector of the US economy after a lot of uncertainty, uh especially post the April Liberation Day tariff announcements.
Uh the other interesting aspect is the ISM services index.
Us uh member firms to uh give anecdotes and I just wanted to highlight three anecdotes there that I think help illuminate what's going on here.
And um so one firm said prices have gone up from tariff recovery fees, um, but the supply chain deliveries and inventories have remained mostly stable after the initial disruption.
So I think that's starting to give businesses a little bit more confidence in that respect, even though there's still a little bit more uncertainty in terms of pricing.

Said business seems to be picking up.
Many of the macroeconomic factors that were concerning look to be playing out in our favour.
High interest rates are still a problem.
Supplies are ample for current business levels.
So I think that's really interesting.
That supply chain disruption story on the services side doesn't seem to be playing out.
And finally, and this was kind of picked up as well in Australia in the RBA's uh liaison in the May statement of monetary policy around tech spend, uh, general uncertainty around the economy continues to.
Drive increasing prices.
Also, lots of SaaS vendors are using the AI boom to restructure pricing in products, resulting in massive increases.
