Yeah, well th th that was a briefing uh the day before yesterday, which did see those longer term yields fall. matched

Um but a at least yesterday, uh that forty year bond auction did see yields rise, uh particularly notable rise in the uh Japanese thirty year uh bond yield. matched

And that did spill over to other markets. matched

So when you actually look at the US ten year yield, it's pretty much unchanged uh relative to where it traded uh close of Asia yesterday, uh but it did rise uh in Asia in sympathy with the matched

Rise in Japanese yields there. matched

But in terms of the bid to cover ratio, uh a key measure of demand, it fell to 2.21 from 2.92 in March. matched

And I think that's the lowest level since July 2024. matched

So it does suggest there is uh a lot of softness in terms of appetite for uh longer-term issuance there. matched

And I guess the two solutions you could have is uh a um, as you noted, um issue less or don't issue at the longer end temperature. matched

Uh alternatively, uh the Bank of Japan could start to tilt its reinvestment of its J G Bs and tilt it more towards the longer end as well to help anchor that that bit of the curve. matched

And so uh it it could be both of those things do do occur. matched

Um in re in regards to the US five year note auction, that went pretty smoothly. matched

So it it it suggests there's still a lot of investor appetite for that uh matched
