And uh I think it's um well cate well categorized now, I think over the past um couple of months that a a ten percent minimum base tariff um is likely on most countries with uh with with with overs for um oh for selected trading partners for various different other reasons. matched

Um and then the question you have to ask yourself, well if there is gonna be a ten percent baseline tariff, what kind of economic implication does that have? matched

If you look at markets, markets seem to be broadly okay with a ten ten percent tariff. matched

Um the uh chairman of uh the White House economic advisors, uh Stephen Mirin, was uh on um Bloomberg yesterday and he was saying that uh he didn't see a ten percent tariff being a huge deal for the economy. matched

Uh he uh likened it towards a ten percent depreciation tariff. matched

in the currency in terms of the impact. matched

And he thought firms and households could broadly deal with the ten ten percent tariff increase and that would also deliver uh increased revenue to the US administration. matched

Mm. matched

So I don't think there's too much turning the US administration from a ten percent tariff. matched

Um and so I think that's just something that um the rest of the world is going to have to contemplate. matched

Uh well what do they do in that scenario react? matched

Well they just have to react to matched

So the uh CapEx number uh after that comes out we'll firm up our estimates for uh the G GDP figures that are out next week. matched

Uh I think on uh the US the second read on Q one GDP might be a little bit of interest there. matched

Um that big uh rise in imports hasn't really shown up in any other bits of the uh US uh accounts. matched

So it could show up in inventories, could show up in consumption or or investment there. matched

So um you could see some degree of revision. matched
